“We trust the vision of Dr. Mostafa El Feki and in his management of a great edifice such as the Bibliotheca Alexandrina,” said His Grace Anba Ermia, the general Bishop and head of the Coptic Orthodox Cultural Center.
His Grace added at the intellectuals Dialoguemeeting held on Thursday and Friday, 13-14 July 2017 at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina,thatthe library has succeeded in the first decade in delivering its enlightenment message and solving religious and historical problems, so the library is also ableto deliver an Enlightening culture especially among future generations. For that ME Sat Channel will Present a TV Program to support the Library Enlightening message and help the library and its activities reach the youth at home and abroad as the ME Sat channel is broadcasting inside and outside Egypt, as well as cooperating with the library through the Coptic Orthodox Cultural Center and its translation and publishing departement.
Dr. Mostafa el Feki praised the idea of Anba Ermia and said: “With regard to the cooperation with all of our national institution, we welcome cooperating with the Coptic Cultural Center.
Dr. Mostafa el Feki, Director of the BA, convened with several intellectuals, academics, distinguished political figures, media personnel, and civil work leaders in an open discussion to listen to their opinions and suggestions concerning the future of the BA.
Dr. El Feki stated that this assembly is part of a series of other open discussions that aim to present a variety of suggestions concerning the future of the BA. He also noted that the Library’s national, regional, and international achievements over the years necessitate sustaining the BA’s statues, facing debilitating obstacles, and lunching new initiatives.
Dr. el Feki then added that the BA is currently concerned with focusing on a number of primary issues, such as empowering the youth, actuating their role in society, and becoming a vital place that welcomes diverse opinions and perspectives.
During the upcoming period, the BA will start achieving the goals of a plan set to be executed within the upcoming five years. The Library will focus on publishing in Arabic, English, and French and expanding its efforts in translating publications into Arabic, especially in the field of Human Science. It will also strive to offer various new services to researchers.
