HG Bishop Ermia participates in Petroleum Workers General Syndicate conference “We are all with you for the sake of Egypt” as part of the official campaign of Mr. Abdul Fattah al-Sisi
HG Bishop Ermia, General Bishop and head of the Coptic Orthodox Cultural Center, participated On March 14, 2018, in Petrosport stadium at Petroleum Workers General Syndicate conference “We are all with you for the sake of Egypt” as part of the official presidential campaign of Mr. Abdul Fattah al-Sisi , The conference was attended by Petroleum sector leaders including, Eng. Abed Ezz El Regal, Chairman of the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation, Eng. Mohamed Shimi, Chairman of South Valley “Ganoub elWadi” Holdings , Talaat El Sewedy, head of the Energy Committee at the House of Representatives, businessman Hassan Rateb, Mr.Mohamed Badr, Chairman of PetroSport Company, Hisham Radwan, Chairman of Gasco company, Prof. Mohsen Nubi, Chairman of the General Petroleum Company, and a number of heads of oil companies.
Petroleum workers and leaders chanted supporting slogans for President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, including “Sisi President of Egypt”, “You are the hope, complete the path” and “Long live Egypt.” and raised banners “We are with you for the sake of Egypt”, and “continue war against terrorism”.
HG Bishop Ermia delivered a speech and said “Prophets fled to Egypt and lived there and felt safe, and that Egypt is and will remain the country of safety and security and the heart of the world and quoted late Pope Shenouda word “Egypt is not a country we live in, but a country that lives within us”.
He added ” when the army sided and supported people will on June 30, Egypt returned on the right track, stressing that in times of crisis Egyptian people act in one cohesive unit and that our national duty now is to be positive.
He continued “Egypt will have a brilliant future thanks to all Egyptians and that their union when supporting their president is strength”.
His Eminence, Bishop Jeremiah and Sheikh Issam El-Feki, exchanged the turbans to express national unity and brotherhood in Egypt.
