Maronite Church demands a stop to the tragic situation in the Orient

His Grace, Cardinal Mar Beshara Botros, Patriarchal of the Maronite Church, headed on Wednesday at the Patriarchal residence in Al-Deeman, Lebanon, the monthly meeting between Maronite Metropolitans, in participation with the main heads of Maronite monks and nuns. During the meeting, the fathers expressed their forceful rejection of all forms of discrimination and persecution, eviction and murder at the hands of terrorist, infidel labeling groups, who exploit religion for interests and schemes that have nothing to do with the known values of the Islamic faith, demanding the international community and the United Nations and Security Council and International Criminal Court to take all necessary measures to put a stop to the sweeping tragic reality and work to restore evacuees to their homes, restoring peace and security to the area, its nations and peoples.

On the other hand, the fathers were sorry to see the Representative Council fail for the eleventh time yesterday to vote for a president of the republic, calling on the representatives again and with persistence to adhere to the requisites of the Constitution.
