About the Library<\/span><\/h2>\n

The Library of St. Marks was inaugurated on January 26, 2010, by His Holiness late\u00a0 Pope Shenouda III, to\u00a0offer various forms of religious and public sources, both traditional and advanced, to the public and researchers. As the Coptic Orthodox Cultural Center belief\u00a0in the importance of public libraries for nations and peoples,\u00a0 in spreading culture, literature and arts.<\/span><\/h2>\n

The library contains printed and electronic sources in various fields, including religious\u00a0, architecture, literature, history, poetry, culture, etc. It also contains a collection of rare books and an archive of Coptic documents.<\/span><\/h2>\n

And preparations are underway to link the\u00a0Library electronically to the libraries of monasteries, churches and various academic institutions inside and outside Egypt.<\/span><\/h2>\n

His Holiness Pope Tawadros II,\u00a0inaugurated the electronic library and e-learning department on 18\/11\/2014.<\/span><\/h2>\n
