\u00a0 \u00a0Egypt celebrated the commemoration of the 23 July Revolution, 1952 at the same time the preparation for inauguration of the New Suez Canal is taking place. This is considered an awakening to work improve Egypt’s achievement over ages.<\/span><\/strong><\/span> This is the statement of the 23 revolution\u00a0<\/strong><\/span> \u00a0 \u00a0They appointed a commander who is either ignorant or corrupt. Egypt has reached the point, therefore, of having no army to defend it. Accordingly, we have undertaken to purify our hearts and have appointed men belonged to the army. We put our trust in their ability, character, and patriotism. It is certain that all Egypt will meet this news with enthusiasm and will welcome it. \n\u00a0 \u00a0One recalls the white revolution that witnessed no bloodshed. The Free Officers Movement was established and led by Commander-in-Chief. Muhammad Naguib and Lieutenant Colonel. Gamal Abdel Nasser on 23rd of July 1952.They declared their control over the country and all its public utilities; thus the king was forced to give up throne to his son, prince Ahmed Fouad, and left the country. So, the monarchy has been abolished and Egypt was declared a republic on 18th of June 1953.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n
\n\u00a0 \u00a0(Egypt has passed through a critical period in her recent history characterized by bribery, corruption, and the absence of governmental stability. All of these were factors that had a large influence on the army. Those who accepted bribes and were thus prejudiced people caused our defeat in the Palestine War. As for the period following the war, the mischief-making elements have been assisting one another, and traitors have been commanding the army.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n
\n\u00a0 \u00a0I assure the Egyptian people that the entire army today has become capable of operating in the national interest and under the rule of the constitution apart from any interests of its own. I take this opportunity to request that the people never permit any traitors to take refuge in deeds of destruction or violence because these are not in the interest of Egypt. Should anyone behave in such ways, he will be dealt with forcefully in a manner such as has not been seen before and his deeds will meet immediately the reward for treason. The army will take charge with the assistance of the police. I assure our foreign brothers that their interests, their personal safety “their souls”, and their property are safe, and that the army considers itself responsible for them. God is the guardian of success.<\/span><\/strong><\/span>
\n\u00a0 \u00a0The revolution carried out the mission to apply its 6 principles that were the essence of its toiling to offer a good life for all Egyptians. These principles were:<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n
\n2) The elimination of colonialism<\/span><\/strong><\/span>
\n3) Elimination of the control of capital over the government’s policy<\/span><\/strong><\/span>
\n4) Building a sound democratic life<\/span><\/strong><\/span>
\n5) Building a national army<\/span><\/strong><\/span>
\n6) Offering social justice<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n
\nThere are several achievements of the revolution:<\/span><\/strong><\/span>
\nPolitical:<\/span>\u00a0signing The 1954 Anglo\u2013Egyptian Treaty after 70 years of occupation<\/span><\/strong><\/span>
\nCultural:<\/span>\u00a0setting up the public institution of cultural palaces and cultural centers\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/span>
\nEducational:<\/span>\u00a0setting up research centers and teaching hospitals.\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/span>
\n\u00a0 \u00a0The most important achievement was the nationalization of the Suez Canal on 26th of July, 1956.It is a precious part of Egypt and was built by Egyptians who toiled and shed tears and blood for its sake. This part was estranged from the Egyptians for so long decades; however the Canal was always carrying the heartbeat of their precious home country.<\/span><\/strong><\/span>
\n\u00a0 \u00a0A new dream is turning to a reality soon. We assure the importance of working diligently for Egypt’s progress and to be one of the top countries in the world. This would not happen, if we didn’t toil and shed blood, sweat and tears out of a pure love for Egypt.<\/span><\/strong><\/span>
\n\u00a0 \u00a0We salute all the Egyptians on the commemoration of the 23- July revolution and pray for Egypt’s safety and prosperity.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n
