Refaat Fathi as Secretary-General of the Council"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<h2 dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'andale mono', times; color: #000000;\">Today Tuesday,\u00a0March 15,2016 In a grand ceremony hosted by the Coptic Evangelical organization\u00a0Egypt Churches Council celebrates three years of its inception in the presence of His Holiness Pope Tawadros II.<\/span><\/h2>\n<h2 dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'andale mono', times; color: #000000;\">According to the internal council\u00a0regulation, which chooses every two years a Secretary-General for the\u00a0Council representing a\u00a0denomination of member churches, and it is the turn\u00a0of the Evangelical Church, which nominated the Rev. Refaat\u00a0Fathi for the position of Secretary-General, and the Rev. George Shaker for the position of Chairman of the Executive Committee, according to the statement by Michael Victor Secretary\u00a0assistant of the media at the Council .<\/span><\/h2>\n<h2 dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'andale mono', times; color: #000000;\">In the same context, Victor stressed, that HH\u00a0Pope Tawadros II agreed on Evangelical Church proposal to remain as the honorary president of the Council and to\u00a0rotate the Secretary-General and the President of the Executive Committee posts between member churches, however the Secretary-General will be the\u00a0actual president of the Council according to the internal regulations.<\/span><\/h2>\n<h2 dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'andale mono', times; color: #000000;\">Mentioning that the Council of the Churches of Egypt was established three years ago for the purpose of unity among the five member churches like\u00a0the Middle East Churches Council\u00a0and\u00a0the Orthodox Church donated to purchase a headquarter for the council.<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Today Tuesday,\u00a0March 15,2016 In a grand ceremony hosted by the Coptic Evangelical organization\u00a0Egypt Churches Council celebrates three years of its inception in the presence of His Holiness Pope Tawadros II.
