For the first time in\u00a0the history of the Egyptian Parliament, Coptic MP Amany Aziz has been elected as the deputy chair of the religious affairs committee.<\/span><\/h2>\n

The election of 25\u00a0Specific Committees in the Egyptian Parliament\u00a0resulted the election of Coptic MP Amany Aziz as the deputy chair of the religious affairs committee as head of the committee is \u00a0former head of Al-Azhar University Osama Al-Abd \u00a0who was Elected by acclamation.<\/span><\/h2>\n

This is the first time in the annals of the parliament that a Coptic MP to be chosen for that post.<\/span><\/h2>\n

It is worth mentioning that the Egyptian Parliament, \u00a0began its work, last November, after three years of absence, and\u00a036 \u00a0Copts were elected , to be the highest number of Copts\u00a0deputies in the history of the Egyptian parliament.<\/span><\/h2>\n
