\u00a0 \u00a0In the first of June, the church celebrates the coming of Jesus Christ to the land of \u00abEgypt\u00bb, it is the only feast that is celebrated in \u00abEgypt\u00bb only, and this date coincided with the start of events of His Excellency the Hungarian Prime Minister Mr. \u00ab Viktor Orb\u00e1n \u00bb visit to Egypt with a large Hungarian delegation, to conduct talks and sign a number of agreements between the two countries.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n \u00a0 \u00a0\u00abHungary\u00bb is considered one of the friendliest countries to \u00abEgypt\u00bb throughout history. His Excellency the Hungarian Prime Minister expressed the friendship between the two countries, he said: \u00ab… between Egypt and Hungary old friendship… old and proven friendship: we always support each other in the international boards and we support each other in order to achieve our internal political goals … there was not any disagreement between the two countries in the past seventy years … \u00bb. And in the light of this ancient friendship, bilateral relations between the two countries in many fields come as a top priority for officials.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n \u00a0 \u00a0And through the history of international relations, \u00abHungary\u00bb greatly appreciated \u00abEgypt\u00bb and the efforts of its leaders, and Hungarian officials frequently articulated statements of appreciation for the Egyptian role at all levels. The honorary doctorate, which was dedicated to His Excellency President Abdel Fattah el Sisi by the Hungarian \u00abCorvinus University\u00bb in \u00abBudapest\u00bb, 2015, is considered as embodiment of that appreciation, for his efforts in promoting the Egyptian state scientifically, culturally and economically, this was the first incident of its kind in the history of the university! It gave an honorary doctorate certificate to the president of a foreign Republic.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n \u00a0 \u00a0The word of His Excellency the Hungarian Prime Minister expressed the continuation of this appreciation for the role of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah el Sisi in his work for the establishment of peace, which does not only influence \u00abEgypt\u00bb and the Middle East but also influences \u00abEurope\u00bb and his country, he said: \u00abWe would like to express our great appreciation for the immense work played by the President in order to provide stability in Europe and the region, and he added that the success of the Egyptian President is of the interest of \u00abEurope\u00bb and \u00abHungary\u00bb as well… \u00bb.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n \u00a0 \u00a0The formal diplomatic relations between \u00abEgypt\u00bb and \u00abHungary\u00bb began in 1028 AD, after its separation from the Austrian Empire. In 1030 AD, it was the first diplomatic mission between the two countries, and the year 1048 AD witnessed sending the first Egyptian ambassador to \u00abHungary\u00bb; Since then, the joint action between the two countries approached between the two peoples at all levels, in a friendship that showed closeness between the Egyptian and Hungarian personalities attributes as His Excellency d. \u00abPeter Kefik\u00bb the Ambassador of \u00abHungary\u00bb in \u00abEgypt\u00bb expressed when he said that the quest for freedom and independence is one of the common features between the Egyptian and Hungarian peoples, as reflected in the revolutions in the two countries.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n \u00a0 \u00a0As part of the consolidation of Egyptian-Hungarian relations, we witnessed the exchange of visits of presidents and many heads of ministers and senior officials of the two countries, the most important ones were the meetings of dialogue between His Excellency President Abdel Fattah el Sisi and His Excellency the Hungarian Prime Minister Mr. \u00ab Viktor Orb\u00e1n \u00bb: the first in June 2015 in \u00abBudapest\u00bb, and the second in September of the same year in \u00abAmerica\u00bb on the sideline of the General Assembly \u00abUnited Nations\u00bb, and the third in June 2016 in \u00abCairo\u00bb.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n \u00a0 \u00a0On the political level, the two friend countries have a common interest in a number of international issues such as terrorism, and work to bring peace and to prevent the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction, in addition to the Middle East issues, such as the issues of \u00abSyria\u00bb and \u00abLibya\u00bb and others. His Excellency the Hungarian Prime Minister in his speech pointed out that one of the reasons for cooperation is to find ways to combat terrorism, which threatens everyone. And His Excellency the President in his speech pointed out the importance of the fight against terrorism, and giving attention to the region issues, he said: \u00ab… our discussions has also addressed developments in the Middle East region and\u00ab Europe \u00bb, where we had the same visions of the importance of continuing to consult on all official levels, to coordinate positions and exchange views about the huge challenges that we face … and we exchanged views with His Excellency the Prime Minister on a number of urgent regional issues that affecting the stability and security in the Middle East and \u00abEurope\u00bb, especially the Syrian crisis and the situation in \u00abLibya\u00bb, including our efforts to return security and stability to this brotherly country. In this context, the talks dealt with our vision to address the threat of terrorism and extremism as the major challenge that objects to the aspirations of the peoples of this region, for a better future … \u00bb. <\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n \u00a0 \u00a0\u00abHungary\u00bb is interested in supporting the development in \u00abEgypt\u00bb; His Excellency the President in his speech mentioned: \u00abI would like to express my appreciation for what I have seen of interest of the friendly Hungary to participate in the ongoing development process in Egypt, through the intensification of joint action and strengthening trade relations and investment between the two countries, so as to achieve the common interest of the two peoples of Egypt and Hungary. \u00bb; therefore, the economic cooperation has become one of the important reasons for improving the relationship between the two peoples which dates back to the fifties and sixties of the last century where it has grown significantly. His Excellency the Hungarian Prime Minister in his speech pointed out that the world headed for a new economic system and that each of \u00abEgypt\u00bb and \u00abHungary\u00bb has to occupy an appropriate place in the light of this new system. Promoting the economic relations comes through: doubling the trade exchange rate, stimulating the Egyptian and Hungarian companies to strengthen cooperation with each other in order to achieve their mutual interests.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n \u00a0 \u00a0In the context of discussing investment opportunities between the Egyptian and Hungarian companies, representatives of 70 Hungarian companies attended as a part of the Hungarian delegation, to discuss cooperation in many fields including: agricultural, industrial, and military, transportation, finance, tourism, media, and other fields. His Excellency the Hungarian Prime Minister confirmed that his country would like to cooperate with local economic elements in \u00abEgypt\u00bb.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n \u00a0 \u00a0In terms of cultural and educational cooperation, Hungary is one of the countries that are interested in Pharaonic history As Hungary taught it for their students in various grades. Hungary frequently holds exhibitions of Pharaonic heritage, and it had a great effort in the field of important archaeological discoveries in \u00abEgypt\u00bb as the Hungarian missions had begun their excavation activities in \u00abEgypt\u00bb in 1007 long before the start of diplomatic relations between the two countries; those missions have made important discoveries in the areas \u00abSharonh\u00bb in el \u00abMinya\u00bb governorate and in el \u00abFashn\u00bb and \u00abTiba\u00bb. Additionally, the Hungarian missions has been credited with the discovery of \u00ab Tomb of Djehutimes \u00bb a nobility. In this field, the Hungarian minister of education and culture attended the opening of the Egyptian exhibition of antiquities discovered by Hungarian archaeologists in November 2000, in the celebration of one hundred and second anniversary of the dispatch of the first Hungarian archaeological mission to \u00abEgypt\u00bb.
