On Thursday\u00a0morning, June 16, 2016, under the patronage of the Pope,\u00a0The final plenary session of the Holy Synod resulted a group\u00a0of decisions and recommendations:<\/span><\/h2>\n

First: Holy Synod decisions<\/span><\/h2>\n

1- Election of Bishop Rafael to be the secretary of the Holy Synod and the election of the Secretariat of the Synod\u00a0<\/span>
\n– HG Bishop Tomas of Al-Qowisa and Mir<\/span>
\n– HG Bishop Youssef\u00a0of\u00a0Southern States<\/span>
\n– HG Bishop Apollo of South\u00a0of Sinai States<\/span>
\nfor a period of three years<\/span><\/h2>\n

2- Decisions regarding the recognition of the monasteries:<\/span>
\n– Recognition of\u00a0St. Demiana and Anba Moises monastery of \u00a0nuns \u00a0in the Diocese of Balyana.<\/span>
\n– Recognition of Virgin Mary and St. Demiana monastery in Danville -Atlanta-\u00a0Southern USA Diocese<\/span>
\n– Recognition of St.\u00a0Moussa monastery on ElAlamin road<\/span><\/h2>\n

Second: Holy Synod recommendation<\/span>
\n1. Family committee recommendation:<\/span>
\n– Review all advice centers in the Evangelism to unify a certified curriculum and determining accredited centers by the church to issue the necessary certificates \u00a0to the ones who completed the marriage courses and the certificates will be compulsory from July 2017<\/span>
\n2. Care and service committee recommendation:<\/span>
\n– Churches commitment to employ\u00a0five percent of disabled people in the\u00a0church projects as much as possible<\/span>
\n3. Ritual committee recommendation:<\/span>
\n– The inclusion of Virgin Mary apparition in Edfu – Diocese of Aswan – in 1982 within the apparitions of the Virgin Mary in the Coptic Church.<\/span>
\n– Liturgical prayers has it’s\u00a0sanctity,dignity and reverence therefore the Committee recommended not to go out of decency, and not to practice it using sculptures and statues,\u00a0ext…<\/span>
\n– Establishing\u00a0 a school for deacons in every\u00a0Diocese and the minimum age for Abesalts ordination to\u00a0be 6 years old and to be ordained at any\u00a0rank\u00a0by his bishop<\/span>
\n– Not to add or delete any phrase in Mass rituals without the approval of the Holy Synod<\/span>
\n– Every priest rank has it’s special clothes so the committee ask priests and bishops to commit with the clothes as stated in the Coptic church<\/span><\/h2>\n
