Once rolled the news about the break up\u00a0of Rabaa and Nahdaa sit-ins on\u00a0August 14, 2013, thousands of protesters gathered at the gates of Hamza mosque in Suez, selected targets to take\u00a0revenge for the victims, and they chose Copts in Suez.<\/span><\/h2>\n

The demonstrators then destroyed 20 cars owned\u00a0by Copts on their way to Faisal neighborhood and Cabinet of Suez.<\/span><\/h2>\n

The demonstrators in Suez destroyed Franciscan school in Arbain\u00a0area, they destroyed\u00a0the gates and threw Molotov cocktails inside the school until it was destroyed, the \u00a0school was closed til the completion of the full renovation in February, at the beginning of the second semester of the year 2013 – 2014, until,\u00a0The\u00a0work and maintenance was accomplished by\u00a0the third field army, \u00a0the Directorate of Education and the owners of the private school.<\/span><\/h2>\n

And chaos continued in the streets of Suez, where demonstrators attacked the Good Shepherd Church, located in El-Geish (the Army) street in Suez, a French styled church, they\u00a0threw Molotov cocktails inside the church and burned\u00a0large parts of it’s\u00a0frontage, and restoration of the church took\u00a0a year and a half under French supervision as\u00a0it’s the only church in Suez, which was built on the French model when\u00a0the French guides and ship masters\u00a0were in Suez before the nationalization of the Suez Canal.<\/span><\/h2>\n

The Good Shepherd School in Suez was\u00a0the luckiest of all the facilities\u00a0that have been attacked, as\u00a0the attackers only smashed some of the school furniture, and the school managers renewed the the seats and\u00a0damaged contents of the \u00a0school.<\/span><\/h2>\n

The ancient Greek Church is another Coptic building attacked by Muslim Brotherhood in Suez, the church is located in Pardes Street area where the the Muslim Brotherhood march marched\u00a0to arrive to the\u00a0Cabinet\u00a0and\u00a0the Security Directorate buildings, they\u00a0destroyed\u00a0the\u00a0heritage of the Church, which\u00a0contained\u00a0Christian\u00a0Cut heritage and some of the Copts in Suez and their families\u00a0records as it is one of\u00a0the oldest churches in the Suez province, Protesters attacked the church with\u00a0Molotov cocktails and destroyed the Frontage and broke into the church and stole some of its’ content and smashed a number of crosses inside. The church\u00a0returned to life quickly as Christians held festive\u00a0celebrations amid the effect of\u00a0hostility and debris that followed the attack, the restoration work at the church was completed in the middle of 2015.<\/span><\/h2>\n
