Olav Fykse Tveit, Secretary General of the Council, visited the Cathedral of St. Mark in Abbasia.<\/span><\/h2>\n<h2 dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'andale mono', times; color: #000000;\">The delegation was received at the papal residence by HG Anba\u00a0Daniel, Bishop of Maadi, deputy for His Holiness Pope Twadros II and HG Anba\u00a0Julius, Bishop of Old Cairo churches and diocese of Services,\u00a0Fr.\u00a0Paul Halim, Spokesman of\u00a0the Coptic Orthodox Church, Professor Gerges Saleh, Secretary-General of the Middle East Churches Council, and Barbara Soliman, Director of the Pontifical Office for Projects and Relations.<\/span><\/h2>\n<h2 dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'andale mono', times; color: #000000;\">During the meeting, they discussed the challenges facing Egypt, especially terrorism, and how Egypt, with all its institutions, seeks to confront it.<\/span><\/h2>\n<h2 dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'andale mono', times; color: #000000;\">They\u00a0also addressed the visit of His Holiness Pope Francis\u00a0as HG Anba\u00a0Daniel indicated that the Pope will be received at the cathedral by HH Pope Tawadros II and will also visit St. Peter\u00a0Church.<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On Tuesday, 25 April 2017, a\u00a0delegation of the World Council of Churches headed by Dr. Fr.
