Designation of Amshir 8\/February 15 of each year to commemorate modern-age Coptic martyrs<\/span><\/h2>\n<h2 dir=\"ltr\" style=\"color: #000000; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-family: &quot;andale mono&quot;, times; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);\"><span style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\">2. Thus, the woman is pure and a temple for the Holy Spirit all the days of her life.<\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\"><span style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-family: &quot;andale mono&quot;, times; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);\">c. \u00a0 \u00a0 However, due to the godliness and proper care (readiness) in partaking of the holy Mysteries (Communion), and abiding by the Tradition that has been handed down to us, it is fitting for a man or a woman to abstain from Communion in periods of physical unpreparedness*, except in exceptional cases for pastoral reasons as decided by the priest who is the spiritual-guide for the individual.<\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\"><span style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-family: &quot;andale mono&quot;, times; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);\">d. \u00a0 \u00a0We also confirm that a woman is not prohibited under any circumstances from performing all other spiritual practices including: personal prayers, the liturgy, reading the bible, service, or being present in church.<\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\"><span style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-family: &quot;andale mono&quot;, times; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);\">e. \u00a0 \u00a0 We also confirm that a new-born child (male or female) can be baptized at any day after the birth if necessary.\u201d<\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\"><span style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-family: &quot;andale mono&quot;, times; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);\">*Physical unpreparedness (i.e. bodily discharge of all kinds: nocturnal emission, menstrual cycle, post-birth bleeding, sexual intercourse)<\/span><\/div>\n<h2 dir=\"ltr\" style=\"color: #000000; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-family: &quot;andale mono&quot;, times; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);\"><span style=\"font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit;\">7. Confirmation on passing a pre-marital church-approved course and obtaining a certificate thereof from one of the approved centers is one of the conditions of establishing an engagement record<\/span><\/span><\/h2>\n<h2 dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline; color: #800000; font-family: 'andale mono', times;\"><strong>Second: Recommendations<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<h2 dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: 'andale mono', times;\"><strong>1- Care and Service Committee:<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<h2 dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: 'andale mono', times;\">The Synod committee for combating addiction recommended that each parish appoint a priest or servant to be in charge of addiction cases, encouraging the parishes that have medical centers or hospitals to build a special department for psychiatry. The committee also recommended that parishes raise awareness on the dangers of addiction for the different educational levels. The committee has also requested that priests and servants of both sexes get training on the talents of combating addiction.<\/span><\/h2>\n<h2 dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: 'andale mono', times;\"><strong>2- Faith, education and legislation Committee:<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<h2 dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: 'andale mono', times;\"><strong>The committee values the efforts of His Holiness Pope Tawadros II in the ecumenical relations and His Holiness&#8217;s signing the joint statement with His Holiness Pope Francis the Pope of Rome on Friday, 28\/4\/2017 and it was published in Al Kiraza magazine, issues 17 and 18 for the year 45 issued on Friday, 5 May 2017 &#8211; 27 Baramuda 1733 in pages 6 and 7 of the magazine. This was followed with an impressive celebration in which ecumenical prayers wre raised attended by His Holiness the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew I, Patriarch of Constantinople along with Their Holinesses, the Pope of Alexandria and the Pope of Rome and the Heads of Christian churches in Egypt at the church of St. Peter and St. Paul in honour of the martyrs of the church for this year.
