After the conclusion\u00a0of midnight prayers and praise, the Divine Liturgy began.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<h2 dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'andale mono', times;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Prayers and praise were attended by their eminences Anba Kyrollos,\u00a0 Bishop of Nagaa Hamadi, Anba Paula, Bishop of Tanta, Anba Youannas, Bishop of Assiut, Anba\u00a0Gabriel, Bishop of Beni Suef, Anba Estephanus, Bishop of Beba and El Fashn, Bishop Timotheus, Bishop of Zagazig and Minya El-Qamh, and Anba Zusima, Bishop of Atfih.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<h2 dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span><strong><span><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: 'andale mono', times;\">On Friday, July 21, 2017, Anba Sawiris Bishop and Abbot of St. Mary &#8220;el-Muharraq&#8221; monastery departed\u00a0after long suffering with illness, and funeral service was held<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: 'andale mono', times;\">\u00a0on Saturday, July 22, 2017 in al-Boutrossiya\u00a0and headed by HH Pope Tawadros II and a number of church pontiffs before transferring\u00a0his body to his monastery.<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<h2 dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'andale mono', times;\"><iframe src=\"\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/l1dxzmxtn-o\" width=\"600\" height=\"350\"><\/iframe><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Midnight was held on Sunday July 22, 2017, at the ancient church at the Monastery of St.\u00a0Mary \u00abMuharraq\u00bb, where the bishops and monks surrounded the body of the late Anba Sawiris Abbot of the monastery.
