Under the patronage of Dr. Abdul Wahab Ezzat, President of Ain Shams University, His Eminence Bishop Ermia, General Bishop of the Coptic Orthodox Cultural Center, Prof. Nazmi Abdul Hamid, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, Dr. Hanan Al-Saeed, Director of the Integrated Learning Center and the General Supervisor of Training Programs and Dr. Tarek Mansour, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Arts for community service and environmental development.<\/span><\/h2>\n
A new batch of Egyptian Sign Language program graduation ceremony was held On Thursday evening, 7 December 2017, the Program\u00a0is held in cooperation with the Coptic Orthodox Center.<\/span><\/h2>\n
Dr. Abdul Wahab Ezzat President of the University explained in his speech that in the framework of fruitful and constructive cooperation\u00a0a protocol of cooperation was signed between the University of Ain Shams and the Coptic Orthodox Cultural Center last year to provide community service for the deaf and dumb to teach them the Egyptian sign language by specialists. \n<\/span><\/h2>\n
In his speech, His Eminence Bishop Ermia expressed his great pleasure for the graduating of a new batch\u00a0for this distinguished community service. He thanked all those who worked on this project. He enumerated the number of students from 2015 to 2017\u00a0which\u00a0reached 70, who where trained and taught the Egyptian sign language, 12 were employed\u00a0at Ain Shams University and 3\u00a0at Cairo University, the largest share\u00a0was at Ain Shams University which is the leader in this community service.<\/span><\/h2>\n
His Eminence also appealed to His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education to circulate these programs to\u00a0teach the sign language in all Egyptian universities,\u00a0and wished further progress and\u00a0growth for Ain Shams University.<\/span><\/h2>\n
Dr. Hanan Al-Saeed, supervisor of the training programs,\u00a0explained that there is two levels of learning the Egyptian Sign Language were held this year in cooperation with the Coptic Orthodox Cultural Center, the first level was held at the Coptic Orthodox Cultural Center and Second Level at Ain Shams University.<\/span><\/h2>\n
She added, I thank all those responsible for this work, and special thanks to Mr. Mahmoud Nasrallah, who has spared no effort and assistance to complete these programs and graduate\u00a0a batch to\u00a0challenge deaf\u00a0by speaking using sign language\u00a0as it\u00a0is a humanitarian message and a noble purpose to integrate\u00a0deaf with the Egyptian society and\u00a0communicate with the deaf, deaf and dumb.<\/span><\/h2>\n
Dr. Hanan\u00a0announced, In continuation of the role of Ain Shams University in the development of society and environmental service, the approval of the President of the University to develop these programs\u00a0to a specialized professional diplomas for the sign language to be a nucleus and a beginning to communicate with this type of disability.<\/span><\/h2>\n
At the end of the ceremony, the trainees were honored and the graduation certificates were handed over to them.<\/span><\/h2>\n
