1- How do you see the Crown Prince’s visit to the church?<\/span><\/h2>\n

The Crown Prince’s visit was a good occasion, We welcomed His Highness with all love and affection and I was\u00a0really\u00a0happy for this visit,\u00a0I know him\u00a0only from the media but when I met him I found that he is pleasant, open-minded, cultured, visionary and good reader\u00a0of history especially Egyptian history\u00a0as at the end of the meeting when I said the well-known Egyptian proverb, “distance is disinclination” His Highness was aware\u00a0of it, and told me that all the Egyptian proverbs are well known in the Kingdom\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n

We talked a lot\u00a0during the short\u00a0meeting \u2013 for about only 20 or 30 minutes \u2013 but its impact was huge<\/span><\/h2>\n

2-\u00a0What is your comment on Crown Prince\u00a0invitation to you to visit Saudi Arabia?<\/span><\/h2>\n

During the meeting with Crown Prince, I told him that one of the church bishops (Anba Morcos) visited Saudi Arabia two years ago within an Egyptian communal delegation and met with the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques; But recently there was no “Visa”, so\u00a0His Highness invited me “an open invitation” saying : “We would like to see you in Saudi Arabia”<\/span><\/h2>\n

3- Media began to guess the visit date?<\/span><\/h2>\n

In official visits and meetings, there is a form of courtesy and this is what happened, the Crown Prince invited\u00a0me orally, and when\u00a0we receive an official invitation we will accept it. We\u00a0are open to\u00a0 visit any place; but the date\u00a0depends\u00a0on the\u00a0official invitation. I visited the UAE, Kuwait, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, Libya, Sudan and Algeria.<\/span><\/h2>\n

4- How do you see the rapprochement between Muslims and Christians, and the role of Saudi Arabia? What is your vision\u00a0for the dialogue of religions, which\u00a0kicked off since the reign of King Abdullah till now?<\/span><\/h2>\n

We participate actively in the dialogues of the Cultures Center in Vienna with Prof. Faisal Bin Muammar, the church has a great role at the\u00a0center and diversity is the nature of life.<\/span><\/h2>\n

The Pope\u00a0explained\u00a0that diversity is not disagreement,\u00a0Each of us wears different style of clothes, diversity gives beauty to life and for example if we enter a garden containing plants\u00a0with unified color and length, things will not\u00a0seem all right. But if we enter a garden, with\u00a0different plants and different colors it will bring joy to the human being.<\/span><\/h2>\n

God\u00a0shows us diversity in\u00a0our own hand\u00a0fingers\u00a0as each finger is different from the other .. Diversity is the mode of life, so I say that convergence for the sake of integration is very important, every human being when he\u00a0meets another one it is consider an added value for him and necessity of life.<\/span><\/h2>\n

When people look at life from this perspective, they feel that this is a way to succeed in their lives and be rich in knowledge. This is an important point and I believe that dialogue between cultures and civilizations is something we absolutely need.<\/span><\/h2>\n

5- Is dialogue\u00a0between civilizations\u00a0only a clich\u00e9 or something on which to build the foundations for coexistence?<\/span><\/h2>\n

Civilizations\u00a0have common factors. For example, ancient Pharaonic civilization, Egyptian civilization, Chinese civilization, Christian civilization, Islamic civilization and Western civilization, all of which have common denominators.\u00a0They are all human and human\u00a0is the\u00a0 one who created all those civilizations.<\/span><\/h2>\n

It is true that there is some difference between these civilizations, but this is normal\u00a0as there is even difference in\u00a0the same country.<\/span><\/span><\/h2>\n

In the days of the pharaohs we spoke Pharaonic, and in the Christian era we spoke Greek and Coptic\u00a0and in the Islamic era we speak Arabic. Therefore, civilizations have many common factors, which we can take it as a common ground to advance.<\/span><\/span><\/h2>\n

6- What are the most\u00a0prominent mutual points in your opinion, and\u00a0from where we should begin to expand co-existence?<\/span><\/h2>\n

Acceptance of diversity and acceptance of the others as they are, this\u00a0model is the beginning of communication between civilizations.<\/span><\/h2>\n

7- Returning to the efforts of the Crown Prince, including his visit to the “papal residence” How do you see the impact of\u00a0these steps on the country’s (Saudi Arabia) image?<\/span><\/h2>\n

It is noticeable in the recent period, that there are very broad steps\u00a0and royal decrees of which we hear and read to improve the Saudi society. We live in\u00a0the same world\u00a0 so\u00a0a\u00a0country, a culture, a civilization, or a religion can not live in isolation. According to what we read in the media, we are surprised and impressed by the\u00a0improvement that are being added to the Saudi society, which we can call “Modern changes” fitting with the\u00a0modern era we are living in, and this\u00a0presents a great positive image of Saudi Arabia.<\/span><\/h2>\n
