HG Bishop Ermia, General Bishop and head of the Coptic Orthodox Cultural Center, participated On March 14, 2018,\u00a0in Petrosport stadium\u00a0at Petroleum Workers General Syndicate conference “We are all with you for the sake of Egypt” as part of the official presidential campaign of Mr. Abdul Fattah al-Sisi\u00a0, The conference was attended by Petroleum sector leaders including, Eng. Abed Ezz El Regal, Chairman of the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation, Eng. Mohamed Shimi, Chairman of South Valley “Ganoub elWadi” Holdings\u00a0, Talaat El Sewedy,\u00a0head of the Energy Committee\u00a0at the House of Representatives, businessman Hassan Rateb, Mr.Mohamed Badr,\u00a0Chairman of PetroSport Company, Hisham Radwan,\u00a0Chairman of Gasco company, Prof. Mohsen Nubi,\u00a0Chairman of the General Petroleum Company, and a number of heads of oil companies.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/h2>\n

Petroleum\u00a0workers and leaders\u00a0chanted supporting slogans\u00a0for President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, including “Sisi President of Egypt”, “You are the hope, complete the path” and “Long live Egypt.”\u00a0 and raised banners\u00a0“We are with you for the sake of Egypt”, and “continue\u00a0war against terrorism”.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/h2>\n

HG Bishop Ermia delivered a speech and said “Prophets\u00a0fled to Egypt and lived there and\u00a0 felt safe, and\u00a0that Egypt is and will remain the country of\u00a0safety and security and the heart of the world and quoted late Pope Shenouda word “Egypt is not a country we live in, but a country that lives within us”.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/h2>\n

He added\u00a0” when the army sided and supported people will on June 30, Egypt returned on the right track, stressing that in times of crisis Egyptian people act in\u00a0one cohesive unit and that our national duty now is to be positive.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/h2>\n

He continued “Egypt will have a brilliant future thanks to all Egyptians\u00a0and\u00a0that their union\u00a0when supporting their president is strength”.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/h2>\n

His Eminence, Bishop Jeremiah and Sheikh Issam El-Feki, exchanged the turbans to express national unity and\u00a0brotherhood in Egypt.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/h2>\n
