• 2011 – Present – Together with Al Azhar Institution, established the joint initiative of “Bayt Al-Aa’ela Al-Masreya” [Egyptian Family House], providing an improved, transparent communication bridge between the Church and Al-Azhar, acting as Deputy Secretary-General for “Bayt Al-Aa’ela Al-Masreya”.
Its purpose:
• Preserving the single fabric of Egyptian society, via communication and coordination with all the associations and government Departments concerned, offering suggestions and recommendations, holding conferences and meetings in every Egyptian province [governorate]
• Consolidating mutual respect, acceptance of the other, religious tolerance, and peaceful co-existence
• The Board of Trustees comprises several Al-Azhar Scholars and clergymen of the Coptic Orthodox Church and representatives of the other Christian denominations of Egypt.
