Architectural Design‏

The internal architectural design of the building combines the features of earliest Coptic art with the artistic elements of modern architecture. For instance, you will find the ceilings adorned with solid artistic pieces of engraved wood, its adornments inspired by the iconostases of the St. Mary’s Hanging Church and St. Abi Sefein Church of Old Cairo, a pattern common amongst most churches and abbeys, such as the St. Antonius [Anthony] Monastery, the St Paul Monastery in the Eastern desert, and the Red and White Monasteries of Suhag.
