Blessed Virgin Mary Church in Rahmaniyah village organized the spiritual vesper on the occasion of Virgin Mary fast and this is the first vesper after re-opening the church.
Masses starts on a daily basis from 8:00 am til 11:00 am and the vesper service that include hymns and spiritual word for a number of priests starts at 6:00 pm til 9:00 pm.
Virgin Mary vesper service at the Church of the Virgin Mary in Rahmaniyah is the first vesper service to be held after reopening the church after the approval of the security authorities, as the church remained closed for 23 years under the pretext of security concerns.
The Copts in the village of Rahmaniya in Qena entered the closed church last year, and held prayers but security authorities demanded the Copts to leave the church until obtaining the necessary permits and after several months the church was reopened amid the joy of the Copts, and immediately Bishop Takla decided to organize varied service in the church including public meeting, youth meeting and the masses and ordained a priest on the altar of the Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary to serve the Copts of Rahmaniyah.
