On Wednesday morning, the Church of the Holy Sepulcher witnessed an ecumenical celebration marking the completion of the restoration of the Holy Sepulcher in Resurrection church in Jerusalem. The Patriarch Greek Orthodox of Jerusalem, Patriarch Theophilius III, custody of the Holy Land Fr. Francesco Patton and Armenian Orthodox Patriarch Nourhan Manougian participated as signatories of restoration agreement .
The ceremony was attended by Anba Antonios, Archbishop of Jerusalem and the Near East, Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras, Archbishop of Constantinople, Archbishop Bartholomew I, Jordanian Minister of Interior Ghaleb Al Zu’bi, delegated by King Abdullah II, Member of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization Hanna Amira on behalf of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, Latin Apostolic Master bishop Pierbattista Pizzaballa, and many Christian denominations around the world
