Egyptian Minister of Tourism, Yahya Rashed received the delegation of the Opera Romana Pellegrinaggi organization, which is responsible for the pilgrimage in the Vatican headed by Monsignor Remo Chiavarini, chairman of the Foundation, who came to Egypt on a guided tour for several days to learn about the places to be covered by the Pilgrimage program in Egypt.
The Minister of Tourism pointed out the importance of the visit, which comes in the wake of the Pope of the Vatican’s Blessing to the journey of the Holy Family last October, pointing out that this visit is an important step to integrate Egypt in the Vatican pilgrimage program of 2018.
The delegation will visit the most important places to be covered by the program and meet with the leaders of the churches.
The delegation will hold meetings with representatives of Al-Azhar and the Coptic Church.
Italian and Vatican newspapers, radio and television delegation which accompanied the Vatican delegation will hold a number of interviews with representatives of the Coptic Church and Al-Azhar.
