Nader Girgis, member of the Ministerial Committee for the Holy Family’s journey, announced the approval of His Holiness Pope Tawadros II Pope of Alexandria and the Patriarch of the see of St. Mark, to give Tour Guides free educational course on the path of the Holy Family journey to Egypt, as currently their is 8 places prepared to receive tourist visits in the coming period.
Girgis said that the educational course will be held from May 12 to 22 and will be taught by some of the most famous authors and learners of the Holy Family journey to Egypt. The course includes places, historical and archaeological books, explorers writings, ancient Arab sources about the visit, the most important monuments and personalities who visited those places, and the most important ancient maps that show the path of the journey.
He added that the aim of this course is to prepare tourist guides interested in this new tourism places, to consolidate the information about the journey and not to leave matters to personal interpretations that may have a negative impact on this promising tourism. He pointed out that he recommended that this path be explained only by those who have a certificate From the Institute of Coptic Studies.
