Confronting extremism and terrorism Conference in Mansoura University in the presence of Bishop Ermia

Bishop Ermia general bishop and head of the Coptic Orthodox Cultural Center participated in the first student “Confront extremism and terrorism” conference organised by Mansoura University at 5-6 April Under the patronage of Dr. Ashraf Sheihi Minister of Higher Education, Dr. Mohamed Qenawy President of the University,Dr. Ashraf Abd El-Baset Vice President of the university for education and students, Dr. Zaki Zidan Vice President of the university for Community Service and Environmental Development with the participation of many public figures and symbols of Enlightened thinking and in collaboration with some state institutions. 
The organization of the conference came in light of the challenges facing the Egyptian society during the previous and current periods and as well as the university concern with Community issues  and it’s participation in the development of scientific solutions to those issues.
The Conference goal is to employ energy of young people from the university students and train them on good and effective participation in societal problems , and raise awareness and the spirit of loyalty and belonging to the homeland and the preservation of the national unity, Activate the role of the university in addressing the causes of extremism and terrorism and address these phenomena, Contributing in unlearning  young people’s ideas the decision makers in the state, The development of friendly relations and prospects of cooperation between students and leaders of the University and the community abroad.
