On Tuesday February 16 “Samaiin” Coptic Church held Libya martyrs first anniversary mass in Samalout,Menya with the participation of a number of priests and bishops.
the Mass prayers was headed by: “Bishop Epiphanius abbot of Abu Makkar monastery, Bishop Pfntios Samalout bishop, Bishop Agathon, Bishop of Maghagha and Adwa, and dozens of priests from all Egypt dioceses”, and thousands of Christians and the families of martyrs also attended the mass.
Samalout witnessed the killing of 21 Christians from the villages of Al Or, Samson and Galaa by ISIS terrorist group when they were in Libya for work.
President Abdel Fattah ElSisi took revenge for them as the military air forces bombed ISIS in Libya, he also ordered to construct a church at martyrs village to honor their name.
