The body of triple beatified Anba Boktor, Bishop of the New Valley and Oases, will arrive from the United States of America on Wednesday. His Holiness Pope Tawadros II will pray the funeral service at 10 o’clock Thursday morning at al-Boutrossiya Church.
The body will be transferred to the headquarters of the Diocese of the New Valley and the oases, to hold the funeral service at ten o’clock Friday morning, and then the burial ceremony.
The Bishop of the New Valley = departed in Dallas, Texas, on Friday evening (February 16th) after a fight with liver disease.
Anba Boktor, was ordained as first Bishop of New Valley by HH Pope Tawadros II in May, 2015, and enthroned in June of the following year.
The Bishop was born on March 19, 1953, ordained a monk named Bishoy Muharraqi on May 8, 1980 and became a priest on 9 March 1983. He was ordained as Bishop on May 24, 2015 and was enthroned t on 23 June 2016.
