After refusing to meet Egyptian family house delegation at El-Karam village.. Bishop Makarios: The didn’t ask for permission and chose the wrong time

Bishop Makarios, Minya and AboQorkas bishop, reveal the reasons of his refusal to meet with a delegation from the Egyptian Family House and parliamentarians who visited El-Karam village on Friday to try to contain the problem that happened and for reconciliation between all parties.

Bishop Makarios, explained that he refused to meet a delegation of the Egyptian Family House and parliamentarians, for three reasons. First, they haven’t asked for permission to meet him, and when the came to the headquarters of the Diocese of Minya he insisted not to meet them so his action will not be wrongly understood, and the third reason is that he is representing HH Pope Tawadros and meting them will mean that they are accepting conciliation rather than the rule of law , pointing out that if he attend the meeting he would have angered the public opinion
He said in a special statement for Youm7: public opinion is very angered by this visit, reactions were harmful”as if one say .. we will reconcile and and you die of your anger.”

Bishop Makarios, renewed his assertion that the church will not give up on a trial of the defendants in front of a normal judiciary, saying that refusing customary judiciary is principle that we will not give it up.
