At 3:00 am, on Saturday, July 16, 2016 fire broke out in the Church of Archangel Michael in Madamoud village, a church that belong to the Coptic Orthodox diocese in Luxor and is built in the middle of copts houses, who called the police and firefighters who arrived at 4:00 am to the church and assisted the Christians and Muslims of the village in extinguishing the fire after all of the contents of the church were destroyed. Investigations are underway to determine the cause of the fire by prosecutors and police. It is worth mentioning that this church was founded in 1980, has been renewed several times, most recently in 2007 and serves in the church, Rev.
