On Monday, June 27, 2016, His Holiness Pope Tawadros II inaugurated three altars in Great Martyr St. Mina Church in Nasr City with the participation of Their Eminence Anba Aalarion General Bishop of Ezbet Hagana, Almaza and Zahraa Nasr City Churches, Anba Kyrillos Bishop of Naga Hammadi, Anba Daniel Bishop of Maadi, Anba Marteros General Bishop of East rail Churches, Anba Ermia General Bishop and head of the Coptic Orthodox Cultural Center, Anba Angelos General Bishop of North Shubra churches, Anba Marcus General Bishop of Hadek ElQoba, Waili and Manshiet al-Sadr churches and Anba Peter Bishop of Kentucky, North and South Carolina.
Altars that was inaugurated are named Virgin Mary, St. John the Baptist and St. Mark the apostle.
A ceremony was held after the math where choir group presented some new songs that explain faith in a simplified manner.
