Aki news-agency mentioned that arrangements are ongoing that Ahmed Tayeb Grand Sheikh of Al-Azhar and Pope Francis Pope of vatican head Peace Conference closing session of the World Peace Conference, which is scheduled to be held on April 28, which marks the first day of pope’s visit to Cairo.
The Italian news agency quoted from informed sources that Al-Azhar is holding World Peace Conference on the occasion of the Pope’s visit, the conference which was announced to be held during Grand Sheikh of Al-Azhar visit to the Vatican last year.
This is the first visit of Pope Francis to Cairo and the second of its kind after the visit of the late Pope John Paul in 2000. The visit comes at the invitation of President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi.
