In cooperation with Ain Shams University The Coptic Orthodox Cultural Center announces “Egyptian Sign Language Education” course from August 4 to September 29 2016 to prepare Egyptian Sign Language translators- to deal with the deaf and hard of hearing people. Admission requirement is to be education andSpecific Education colleges, kindergartens and Sociology departments graduates, master degree graduates or to have the desire to work in this area.
• The course goal is to teach and train people to deal with the deaf and hard of hearing people with their own language and to help the deaf and hard of hearing people be accepted in universities for the 2016/2017 academic year
• The course include a number of topics: – Disabled phsychology and the deaf nature – Types of deafness – Deaf problems and their relationship with the society – How to deal with the deaf and hard of hearing people – How to use the movements and gestures of the body and how to express with it different ideas – Everday life and academic different signs – Practical exercises and field visits
• Course participation fees 400 pounds • Duration two months, a total of 100 hours of theoretical and practical sessions • Training days: Saturday, Tuesday, Thursday of each week from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm
