HH Pope Tawadros II, Pope of Alexandria and Patriarch of the see of Saint Mark received, on Wednesday, January 4, 2017, at the cathedral of St. Mark in Abbasia, Grand Imam Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb of Al-Azhar, and Dr. Abbas Schumann agent of Al-Azhar, Dr. Shawki Allam Grand Mufti of Egypt, Dr Mohiuddin Afifi, Secretary General of the Islamic research Academy and adviser Mohamed Abdel Salam legal adviser to greet his holinrss for Christmas.
TE stressed during the meeting that Egypt is safe and secure and they all live in love and peace, the Pope also thanked them for their presence, wishing that the holidays and special occasions are a good opportunity for love encounters.
