HH Pope Tawadros II, Pope of Alexandria and Patriarch of the see of Saint Mark went to Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, to meet with Grand Imam of Al-Azhar Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, to greet him for Eid al-Fitr(lesser Bairam).
Pope headed a high level ecclesial delegation to greet Sheikh Al-Azhar, as an annual tradition that indicates bonding strength and brotherhood between Egyptians Muslims and Christians.
