HH Pope Tawadros II headed on Saturday morning late Pope Shenouda’s 6th annual departure commemoration and late Fr. Feltaous elSyriani 8th annual departure commemoration Mass.
The memorial service, which was attended by a number of bishops, monks and priests, was held at St. Virgin Mary Cathedral in Syrian Monastery in Wadi El Natroun, where Pope Shenouda “the teacher of generations” was ordained as monk.
His Holiness late Pope Shenouda III departed on Saturday evening, 17 March 2012, at the age of 88, after having spent more than 40 years on the Holy See. While Fr. Feltaous departed two years earlier the same day in 2010 also at the age of 88 years after spending more than 61 years in monasticism.
