H.H. Pope Tawadros II met the Papal Residence of “el-Muharraq” St. Mary Monastery on Wednesday, discussed with them the issue of choosing new Abbot for the monastery and delivered a sermon.
The meeting was attended by Their Eminences Bishop Raphael, Bishop of Downtown Cairo church and Secretary of the Holy Synod, Bishop Gabriel Bishop of Beni Suef, Bishop Stefanos, Bishop of Beba and Al-Fashn, Bishop Karas, Bishop of al Mahalla and Bishop Boctor Bishop of elWadi elGadid.
Bishop and former Abbot, late Bishop Sawiris, had departed on July 21 after battling the disease. After more than 32 years as bishops and Abbot of the monastery.
