His Holiness Pope Twadros II, Pope of Alexandria and Patriarch of the see of St. Mark, received on Wednesday Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri at the Papal Headquarters.
His Holiness welcomed the prime minister and said that we are aware of the greatness and importance of Lebanon as a country with history and civilization. The relations between the two countries are always progressing and history is witness on the rich cultural and economic relations. Lebanon is the flower of the Arab countries.
His Holiness welcomed his excellency at the Coptic Church, one of the oldest churches in the East, that have a rich heritage and welcomed him in the land of the Nile.
The Pope concluded the meeting by wishing his excellency a good visit in the name of the church, institutions, seminaries and the denominational councils.”
