Rev. Boulos Halim spokesman of the Coptic Orthodox Church said that, HH Pope Tawadros II Pope of Alexandria, and Patriarch of the see of Saint Mark , assigned Bishop Abakir Bishop of Scandinavia, to visit Copts in Ukraine.
The Spokesman added that this comes in the context of the Church quest to follow the conditions of it’s children in the Diaspora. Bishop Abakir was welcomed at the airport by the members of the Coptic community in Ukrain, where he began his pastoral visit and held a Mass and visited the young Copts, who are studying at Ukraine universities, delivered some spiritual speeches in different places ,and also held on the sidelines of the visit, a conference for 3 days.
On the other hand, Bishop Abakir met during the visit, the mufti of Ukraine, the Egyptian ambassador and a representative of Al-Azhar.
