St Mary and St Mina Coptic Orthodox Cathedral in Bexley hosted Egyptian Open day on 4/6/2016. This celebration of Ancient Egyptian heritage included an amazing light and sound journey through time, showcasing the proud Pharaonic history of the Egyptian people. Many braved the elements today to experience Egyptian food and culture, and much fun (and food) was had by all.
The open day was attended by politicians and public figures, led by Tahir Badr Consul of Egypt in Sydney, Farid Nabil Chairman of the Christian Democratic Party, a member of the New South Wales Legislative Council representing the Liberal Party of Australia, and Ms. Marie Vekara former member of the Parliament of the state.
