His Holiness Pope Tawadros II, Pope of Alexandria and the Patriarch of the see of St. Mark delivered a speech at the opening of the special screening of “St. abu nofer” film.
His Holiness spoke about the concept of monasticism, where he explained that it is the jewel of the church that grew up in Egypt and moved to the world and has many levels and types. Including monk, the Archimandrite and the Anchorite and St. Abo Nofer is one of the most important Anchorite fathers of the Coptic Orthodox Church.
HH the Pope referred to the role of technology, which made a historic leap from the fourth century AD, as we can witness St. Abu Nofer the Anchorite in our time, through the quality of the image along with the conceptual music and dramatic plot, script and dialogue, Directed by director Joseph Nabil.
At the end of the speech, HH Pope Twadros II gave special thanks to the nuns of St. Tadros monastery for their keenness to present the biography of St. Abu Nofer the Anchorite.
After the Pope finished his speech, His Holiness presented shields to all the filmmakers.
