On the afternoon of Wednesday February 28, 2018, the funeral service of Mrs. Hayat Ibrahim Saleh, niece of Triple Beatified, Bishop Youannis, Bishop of Gharbia, wife of Engineer Hani Wadie and sister of Prof. Gerges Saleh, Secretary-General of the Middle East Churches Council, Professor at the seminary school and Coptic Studies Institute, and Director of Ecumenical Relations at the Coptic Orthodox Cultural Center was held in al-Boutrossiya.
The funeral was attended by a number of the Holy synod bishops, monks, priests, professors of seminaries and theological institutes, representatives of the Christian communities, members of the Egyptian family house, public figures, family and friends of the deceased.
In his speech, Mr. Gerges Saleh, brother of late Mrs Hayat, thanked all those condoled them, either by attending or through messages or by phone, and the condolences sermon was delivered by His Eminence, Bishop Moussa.
May her soul rest in peace and condolences to her family and loved ones.
