Eng. Yasser Dessouky governor of Assiut received, on Sunday, in his Office 23 Coptic families coming from Al-Arish in North Sinai, to discuss their problems and meet all their demands, until their living conditions become normal, the meeting was attended by Anba Yoannis Bishop of Assiut, deputies, Ministries of Social solidarity, Education and Supply and a number of members of the House of Representatives in the governorate.
The governor met with the families, and listened to their demands and needs, and assured them that we are all one family and all their demands will be answered and his office is open to them at any time, and commissioned a number of executive officials in the government, especially Social Solidarity, health, Education, Supply to follow-up daily with the families to continuously check their conditions throughout the period of their presence in the governorate.
At the end of the meeting, the governor stressed that the Egyptian government is determined to root out the black terrorism that does not differentiate between the people of one nation and said that the state is doing everything in its power and attaches great importance to all it’s citizens and all state agencies working to alleviate any suffering for them and that they must unite and work together.
For his part, Bishop Yoannis Bishop of Assiut pointed out that we are all working as a single-family and we are coordination with the province and the various stakeholders and will provide all the needs to the families in a few days.
