Dr. Mohamed Sultan, Governor of Alexandria, visited Mina Fouad Zakhari, guard of Saints Church to ensure that he receives the necessary care in the hospital. The guard was attacked by a man yesterday using a sharp blade, after preventing him from entering the church.
The Governor condemned all kind of terrorism, extremism and violence acts against churches and stressed that Egypt will stay safe and secure by the unity of Muslims and Christians and by supporting authorities.
On July 14, An Egyptian Muslim called AbdAllah Adel Ahmed Hassan, 24, stabbed and wounded a security guard after being prevented from entering a church in the Mediterranean city of Alexandria.
The man was quickly subdued by the guard and others who rushed to help and has been questioned.
