We dealt with the issue of real commitment that is supposed to constant and embodied in the adherence of values and principles. It leads to a person’s progress and success. It requires a true and tirelessly determination till one achieves his goal.
It also requires rational thinking. Before taking on any commitment, one should be sure that he is able to do it and won’t be a burden to him. As they say:” Be committed to what you do”.
One should not over or underestimate his capabilities and talents. Set for your journey of life and keep opening its doors overcoming all the difficulties you face. You should also know that your commitment toward any matter affect others too as they will depend on you for doing this mission.
Spiritual commitment is necessary in man’s relationship with God that would surely reflect on his relation of others. As aforementioned, a committed person would keep his commitment in all the fields of his life and keeping them all in balance. Spiritual commitment involves everlasting adherence to God’s commandments like Abraham God’s friend. You first need to understand the commandments and have a desire to follow them. So, you would be able to commit to mercy, justice, goodness, love and respect.
As God is the source of all goodness and our commitment toward His commandments means that we are committed to exercise good deeds and he give this chance for all people.
All religions recommend commitment and I would like to explain that there are two similar words that have different meanings, “Commitment” and “Compulsion”. Commitment is fully willing to overtake a mission. While compulsion is having to do a mission out of fear of punishment or gaining a reward. Here compulsion turns into an external commitment with no satisfaction. As a result, a person would evade the task he is forced to do if possible.
Compulsion may gradually turn into commitment if one realized the importance of the task. So he applies the saying that goes, love what you do so you do what you love. Maybe you would find out that what you do is critical and may help you to achieve success. Thus you would find joy in commitment toward God, others and yourself.
