Under the auspices of His Holiness Pope Tawadros II, Pope of Alexandria and Patriarch of the See of St. Mark, and his partner in Apostolic Service, His Grace Bishop Ermia [Jeremiah], General Bishop and President of the Coptic Orthodox Center, the Center held a celebration to present the annual Award of “Culture, Science and Human Services”, known as the “Ola Ghabbour Award”, as she was the pioneer of charitable and cultural work, to the internationally acclaimed heart surgeon Sir Dr. Magdy Yacoub.
The celebration commenced at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday 23rd January, 2014 at the Coptic Orthodox Cultural Center in the Grand Cathedral at Abbasseya, Cairo.
His Holiness Pope Tawadros II, Pope of Alexandria and Patriarch of the See of St. Mark, presented the Center’s Award to Sir Dr. Magdy Yacoub.
