The guest of honor Hall of the 48th Cairo International Book Fair hosted “the Egyptian Family House love Egypt,” seminar. The seminar was attended by Anba Ermia, General Bishop and Assistant Secretary-General at the Egyptian Family House, Mr. Tariq Dessouky member of the family house, Prof. Tarek Mansour, head of the Faculty of Arts at Ain Shams University, and Dr. Muhyiddin Afifi, Secretary General of the Islamic research Academy, and coordinator of the Egyptian family house.
Anba Ermia General Bishop, Assistant Secretary-General at the Egyptian family house said that Egypt is our nation and we all love it, and we all have a special feeling toward our homeland, especially as it reminds us of the place where he grew up and our friends, and we remember the Nile and the pyramids, the homeland is like a panel drawn in everyone mind.
His Eminence added that the love of the homeland is the deepest kind of love, as a person without a homeland is like a man without an identity, without a past nor future, nor present, there is no good for those who does not love their country as there are those who wish to have more than one life in order to be sacrificed for Egypt.
His Eminence pointed out that Egypt is the refuge of the prophets throughout history it is the land that God blessed by saying, “Blessed is Egypt My people” and said in the Koran, “Enter peacefully and safe,” pointing out that the love for Egypt is measured by tender and not in word only.
He clarified that unity between Muslims and Copts will contribute in passing this crisis, and go all the way to achieve our goals positively and realize the dreams of our children.
Following the conclusion of the seminar, the Secretary General of the Islamic Research Academy took off his turban and put it above Anba Ermia mitre to form Egypt flag, and concluded the seminar by presenting a documentary film about the unity between Muslims and Copts done by actor Tariq Dessouky member of the Egyptian family house that impressed the audience.
