Education Minister refers to Mervat Sefen Coptic teacher case to Bani Mazar Administrative Prosecution shrine after canceling her appointment as head of school after protests from the students against appointing her.
The minister stressed during his meeting with a number of members of the House of Representatives that he had received reports of irregularities which prevent promoting her. House of Representatives members wondered and condemned the response because Directorate of Education decided to promote Mervat because of her work and have an entire file about her and after the protest Directorate of Education is saying that there is reports of irregularities against her.
From her part, Mervat Sefen said that its not irregularities that prevented her from being promoted and that she passed the tests and investigations and was promoted several times before to be an attorney for boys’ school and wondered why these irregularities have emerged at this time, after students protested refusing to appoint her.
