The Minister of Culture Helmy Al Namnam , accompanied with Dr/ Al-Haj Ali, The Head of The General Organization of Book , His Eminence Bishop Paveli, Bishop of Alexandria Youth Church and Churches of the Montazah Sector, inaugurated The second Book Fair in the Church of St. Mark on Sunday 13August in Alexandria Church. It lasts until 22 August .
The opening ceremony was attended by Bishop Elarion, Bishop of West Sector Churches, Col. Reweis Morkos, Patriarchal Vicar General in Alexandria, and Dr. Anwar Maghith, The Head of the National Center for Translation
The Minister of Culture expressed his happiness for the presence of this Egyptian national gathering, stressing that it is not coincidence to find a 20 century church ,Egypt is the first country that speeded the idea of monotheism and churches are houses of God and available to all
“Our presence today emphasizes the presence of culture everywhere. “We are now in the first Church of Mark .”
After the inauguration ceremony, His Eminence Bishop Ermia received for His Excellency the Minister of Culture Helmy Al-Namnam and a number of officials of the Book Authority at the Coptic Orthodox Cultural Center in Abbasiya.
