Delegation of the Russian Church invited by His Holiness Pope Tawadros II arrived at Burj Al Arab Airport on a private jet on Tuesday in a visit to the Coptic Church

Archbishop Theognost of Sergyiev Posad, vicar of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and all Russia, regent of the Holy Trinity and St. Sergius Lavra, chairman of the Monastic Department of the Russian Orthodox Church; Archimandrite Pavel (Krivonogov), dean of the Holy Trinity and St. Sergius Lavra; Hegoumen Peter (Yeremeev), regent of the Moscow St. Peter (Vysoko-Petrovsky) Monastery , Archpriest Pavel Velikanov, professor of the Moscow Theological Academy; Hieromonk Stefan (Igumnov), secretary for Inter-Christian Relations, Department for External Church Relations of the Moscow Patriarchate; Deacon Ioann (Afanasyev), cleric of the Holy Trinity and St. Sergius Lavra; Mr. Sergey Alferov, officer of the Department for External Church Relations of the Moscow Patriarchate.
The delegation was welcomed by their eminences Bishop Kyrollos Ava Mina, abbot of St. Mina monastery, Bishop Danial, abbot of St.Paul monastery in red sea, Bishop Thodosios of Giza, Bishop Pavli, General Bishop of Montazah churches and General supervisor of the youth service in Alexandria and Rev. Angelos Isaac secretary of His Holiness Pope Tawadros II.
– The Russian delegation visited St. Mina Monastery in Maryout after arriving from Russia, they visited the monastery landmarks and expressed their admiration by the Monastery. They met the monk synod and attended a sermon of Rev. Raphael Ava Mina about monastic life.

On Tuesday afternoon the Russian Orthodox Church delegation visited St. Mark Cathedral in Alexandria, where they were welcomed by their eminence Bishop Daniel Bishop and abbot of Anba Paula monastery in Red Sea, Bishop Pavle General Bishop of Montazah Churches and the supervisor of the youth service in Alexandria, Rev. Rewiss Morcos general secretary of Patriarchate, the Rev. Angelos Isaac secretary of the Pope and large number of priest of Alexandria.
The head of the delegation Archbishop Theognis Deputy of Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia expressed that he is Greatly influenced by his visit to the ancient Church of St. Mark in its history, and His Eminence delivered a speech in which he particularly expressed his impression by the Coptic Church and its history full of glories.
