Anba Ermia, General Bishop and head of the Coptic Orthodox Cultural Center, participated On March 19, 2017, in the cultural and artistic celebration “Martyr’s Right” organized by Ain Shams University in cooperation with the Cultural Development Fund at the Great Conferences Hall of the University on the occasion of Martyr’s Day .
The celebration is held under the patronage of Dr. Abdul Wahab Ezzat, President of the University, and Dr. Nazmi Abdel Hamid, Vice President for Affairs Sector in cooperation with the Cultural Development Fund and the Afro-Asian Egyptian Society as part of the cultural season of Ain Shams University.
A number of national duty martyrs of military soldiers and policemen victims of terrorism were honored, the university handed the families of martyrs certificates and shields of the university, fronted by late General Abdel Moneim Riad and martyr Ibrahim Fuad brother of actor Mohamed Fouad and Al-Botrosya martyrs.
Anba Ermia said in his speech at the celebration “The day in which Ain Shams University celebrate Martyr’s day is a glorious day”.”Those martyrs who lost their lives in their springtime to restore their homeland and the Middle East peace deserve our salute and praise.
His grace added: “I want to pay homage tribute to the families of the martyrs and each martyr’s mother and wife, referring to the words of God,” And never think of those who have been killed in the cause of Allah as dead. Rather, they are alive with their Lord “
He continued: “God will ease our pain, and we must celebrate Martyr’s day to pay tribute to them evermore because they will live with us over the years and we will never forget them.”
One of the martyrs’ mothers said : ” Muslims and Christians have been always united, and terrorism don’t recognize this point, Long live Egypt as long as its president and its people.”
One of the martyrs’s mothers said that her son was martyred before his wedding, and his two brothers are enrolled in the police and the army, saying: “I have a martyr and a martyr prospects.”
One of the martyrs’s mothers also said at the ceremony “My son is valuable for Egypt, and God will confort us and we couldn’t live without a country nor safety and we sacrifice with our children for our homeland and we will confront terrorism with patience and steadfastness and our hands will remain in the hands of the president and I am proud that my son was martyred “.
