Egypt’s ambassador to Cyprus, May Taha, visited the under construction new Egyptian Coptic church, named Archangel Church, which will be opened after it’s completion in the suburb of the Cypriot capital of Nicosia. A statement issued by the Egyptian Foreign Ministry said that the ambassador met with the church’s patron, Fr. Zacharia Bola, along with about 100 members of the Egyptian community residing in Cyprus, and reviewed during the visit all the developments concerning the relations between Egypt and Cyprus and high-level visits by the officials of both countries in recent period.
The Ambassador was also keen to know the problems faced by members of the community, and promised to do everything possible to overcome them and find possible solutions in cooperation with the Cypriot authorities.
