Ambassador Nabila Makram State Minister for Migration and Egyptians abroad Affairs and her accompanying delegation, met at the conclusion of her visit to Australia, Bishop Suriel of the Coptic Church, Bishop of Melbourne and related areas.
This came in the presence of Ambassador Mohamed Khairat Egypt’s ambassador to Australia, and Ambassador Mohamed Honorary Consul General in Melbourne.
Bishop Suriel expressed his happiness for the visit and care of the Egyptian government of expatriates.
Bishop Suriel, thanked President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, for the decision of the returning of the Department of Immigration, stressing on its importance in linking Egyptians abroad to their homeland.
His Grace said that Egyptians in Australia are supporting all reform and political steps, carried out by the President.
And announced that the Coptic diocese in Melbourne started, supporting national projects in homeland and promoting “Beladi” dollar certificate among all Egyptians, in Australia and New Zealand, saying: “The contribution in supporting the country is a duty for everyone and Melbourne diocese bought “Beladi” dollar certificate for 200,000 Australian dollars to encourage all Egyptians to support the country and buy those certificates. “
